Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

1. Introduction

Watermark Remover AI provides automatic AI watermark removal for images. This policy explains what information we handle when you upload a photo, use an account, or make a purchase.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

  • Email address and account profile information, including your name and profile image when provided through Google or GitHub sign-in
  • A password hash if you create an account with a password
  • Payment provider customer and subscription identifiers, purchase records, and credit balances; checkout payment details are handled by the payment provider
  • Language, theme, and other settings used by the website

2.2 Image Data

  • Photos you upload and the editing instructions you submit
  • Generated images or links to processing results
  • File names, file sizes, formats, editing settings, task status, and processing errors

2.3 Technical Information

  • Guest identifiers and hashes derived from a guest identifier and IP address to enforce free credit limits
  • Account activity and credit usage records
  • Request information, error logs, and technical data needed to operate and secure the service

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Process photos and editing instructions to create the requested results
  • Provide accounts, sign-in, credit balances, and task history
  • Send account verification, password reset, and service emails
  • Process purchases and manage subscriptions
  • Enforce guest credit limits, prevent abuse, and investigate errors
  • Meet applicable legal and accounting obligations

4. Image Data Handling

Important: Image Privacy

  • Images are stored in Cloudflare R2 and processed by the AI provider. We do not currently promise automatic deletion after a fixed period; account, billing, task and log records are stored separately
  • Image Processing: Photos and editing instructions are sent to Replicate to generate the requested result; its own retention terms apply to its copies
  • Other Records: Account, billing, task, and log records are stored separately from image files. Task metadata may contain image data from direct file uploads; deleting an image file does not delete these records
  • Model Training: Watermark Remover AI does not use your photos to train models. Processing by third-party providers is governed by their applicable terms

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Cloudflare R2: Stores uploaded photos and, where applicable, generated images
  • Replicate: Processes photos and editing instructions using AI models
  • Stripe: Processes checkout payments and subscriptions; the payment provider receives the information required for the transaction
  • Google and GitHub: Provide sign-in when you choose one of those options
  • Resend: Sends account and service emails when email delivery is used
  • Plausible (when enabled): Uses page visit events to measure website traffic and referral sources without analytics cookies
  • Other Disclosures: Where required by law, necessary to protect rights and safety, related to a business transfer, or authorized by you

6. Data Security

We use safeguards appropriate to the information handled by the service, including:

  • HTTPS for data sent between your browser and the service
  • Time-limited signed URLs for access to photos stored in R2
  • Authentication and access checks for account and task information
  • Password hashing for password-based accounts

7. Your Rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, your privacy rights may include the following. This policy does not limit your statutory rights:

  • Access to information about the personal data we handle
  • Correction of inaccurate account information
  • Request deletion of personal data by contacting us, subject to applicable legal retention requirements
  • Data portability where applicable
  • Objection to or restriction of certain processing where applicable
  • Withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent

8. International Data Transfers

Our storage, AI, authentication, payment, and email providers may process information outside your country. The location and handling of that information depend on the provider and service used. Applicable legal requirements govern these transfers.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the Last updated date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
